A Visit To The Vet

Thursday we took both dogs in to get fixed down in Orem at the No More Homeless Pets clinic. I had to pick them up at 2:30 to bring them home. Charlie was good to go but Sissy did not want to move. We finally got her out to the car and took them home. Charlie had to wear the collar to keep him from biting his stitches. Charlie couldn't walk around with it on. He would stand there staring at the ground because he couldn't even see where he was going. It was funny to watch. Becky felt sorry for him so she trimmed the cone down so it wouldn't be so big. He was now able to move around better but still had some problems with stairs. After bringing Sissy home we could not get her to move or to eat and drink. We had to force feed her the medicine the doctor prescribed for her. The next morning she was still the same...if not worse. We called the doctor back and told her that Sissy won't eat or drink and she is throwing up. They asked us to bring her back so they could look at her and make sure she was okay. Tom drove her back down to Orem and they said that the medicine was making her sick and to stop giving them to her. Instead we were to give her some Zantac to settle her stomach and to feed her baby food and chicken broth. I never would have guessed baby food. Sissy started eating again and is now doing fine.
