Fun Day #2

I am really enjoying these little family outings that we are going on. Today we went to the Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy. When we first walked in, we walked though the Utah Waters Gallery and Wetlands where we got to see all the different types of fish, frogs, and brine shrimp that you would find in Utah. After learning about rainbow trout, we went through the Ocean and Coral Reef exhibits. This was my favorite. I loved all the crazy looking fish. We really enjoyed the different types of jelly fish they had. There were upside down jellies, sea needles, and moon jellies. The moon jellies were really neat to watch swim around. Next we went to the touch pool where the kids were able to reach in and touch some stingrays. Tayler was the only one that didn't want to touch them. Conner was able to touch a few while Porter tried his hardest, but his arms were not long enough to reach the sting rays. He eventually became desperate enough and stuck his whole arm in to touch one and soaked his shirt all the way up to his shoulder. The kids were also able to touch a sea cucumber, a star fish, and a horseshoe crab.
