Air Show

Today we drove into Glendale to the Luke Air Force Base to watch the airshow. The wind was crazy. They told us that the wind was up to 40 MPH and that the Thunder Birds were not sure if they were going to fly. Finally, after about a 45 minute wait, they began to fly. Porter was so tired of the wind and no action that he began to fall asleep. As soon as the Thunder Birds were up in the air, Tom woke him up because he knew Porter wouldn't want to miss it. By the time we got home we were all covered in sand from head to toe from the wind. What a wonderful thing it was to get in the shower...and Q-tips.

The kids got to go sit in a firetruck while we were there. Porter loves firetruck and the fireman even let him try on his helmet.

Reminds me of the air show at Hill Air for Base. Looked like fun. Nice to see Tom with his dark hair!
