Wow today came up on us fast. We thought that we had plenty of time to get the Conner's pine wood derby car ready to race. Sunday we got a call to bring the car in for weigh in by Tuesday before the race. So Monday morning Tom started work on the car in hopes that it would be ready for the race. We finally got it finished this afternoon and made it in time for weigh in. Conner's car tied for 1st on the first race, 1st place on the second, and the 2nd place on the third race. The kids had a lot of fun. After the main races, they let families race any cars that they had built, so Porter borrowed Conner's car from last year and raced it. He had so much fun and thought that he won every race. He came back after his car crossed the finish line for high-fives with the biggest grin on his face.
